Vol. 259 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Textile Imports.

42.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if there has been a slowing-up of imports of textiles since his recent action to protect home interests.

In view of the fact that the order providing for increases on certain outer garments of United Kingdom origin came into operation only on 1st January, 1972, it is not yet possible to assess its effect on imports.
