Vol. 260 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Chartered Accountant Courses.

52.

asked the Minister for Education why arrangements for courses for chartered accountants in the Dublin area have not been made on the same basis as other centres such as Waterford and Sligo; and whether he will take steps to remedy this situation.

The making of such arrangements for the Dublin city area is the responsibility in the first instance of the City of Dublin Vocational Committee.

I understand that the committee experienced difficulty in providing suitable accommodation for such a course at the start of the present session but hope to have surmounted the difficulty by the beginning of next session. Meanwhile, a suitable course has, I understand, been organised in the present session in a private institution.
