asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the fact that the expanding city of Limerick is served by only one Garda superintendent, he will consider creating a sub-station under the charge of a superintendent to control the area served from Edward Street Garda barracks.

A new Garda district under the control of a superintendent at Edward Street Station, Limerick, has been established as part of the re-organisation of the Limerick Division which I announced last year.
