Vol. 260 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly Speed Limit.

22.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider the erection of a speed limit sign at Ballycumber village, County Offaly, as there is an urgent need for it.

The provision of a speed limit for the village of Ballycumber was considered during a recent review of speed limits in County Offaly. Having regard to the nature of the road through the village, which tends to depress speeds, and to the extent and lay-out of the housing development, which is well set back from the road, it was not considered that a speed limit for the village was warranted.
