Vol. 260 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Dual Carriageways.

24.

asked the Minister for Local Government when the report of the inquiry held in January, 1971 concerning the acquisition of lands adjacent to Stillorgan Village, County Dublin, for the proposed new dual carriageway on the Stillorgan Road will be available; and if he will indicate the decisions taken on the report.

The compulsory purchase orders to which this inquiry related are under consideration in my Department and I will give my decision thereon as soon as possible.

Could the Minister indicate approximately how soon?

They are under active consideration, so it should not be too long.

The report is in?

Yes.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received an application from Dún Laoghaire Corporation for a road fund grant for the purpose of constructing a dual carriageway at Sallynoggin; and if he will approve of the proposal.

Approval in principle was given to proposals for the provision of a dual carriageway at Sallynoggin. The allocation of a road fund grant towards the cost will be considered when detailed proposals have been submitted and approved by me.
