Vol. 260 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coolock (Dublin) Estate.

28.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received copies of resolutions passed at a meeting of Saint Brendan's Estate Residents' Association on Monday 20th March in relation to the condition of the Santry river and associated matters.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position in regard to the taking in charge by the Dublin Corporation of St. Brendan's Estate, Coolock, with particular reference to the Santry river.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 28 and 29 together.

While I have not received copies of the resolutions referred to, I have received from the association a letter dated 11th April, 1972 requesting that I arrange a meeting for the association with Dublin Corporation. I would remind the Deputies that the taking in charge of this estate is a matter for the corporation to whom I am referring the association's request. I had already asked the corporation to keep me informed of progress in the matter and I have recently been advised by them that progress has been made on the outstanding development works at the estate and that negotiations with the developing company regarding the remaining items are still in progress.
