asked the Minister for Finance (a) the number of schools completed each year for the past ten years for mentally and physically handicapped children; (b) the cost of those schools; and (c) the number intended to be built this year and their cost.

The information is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

It is hoped to complete two schools in 1972-73 at an estimated cost of £94,500, and to commence work on a further nine cases the cost of which will be of the order of £540,000.
