Vol. 260 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Car Prices.

53.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will order an immediate inquiry into the findings of the National Prices Commission which indicate a vast discrepancy between the prices of cars in the North of Ireland and the Republic; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In their April, 1972 report the National Prices Commission indicated that they would recommend, in their May report, what action should be taken consequent on the results of their survey of comparative motor car prices in Dublin and Belfast. When I receive the commission's recommendations, I will consider what further action I should take.
