Vol. 260 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army NCO Retirements.

78.

asked the Minister for Defence if plans are before his Department which would result in the retirement of NCOs at 55 years of age; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Conditions of service of men of the Defence Forces, including the age to which they may be permitted to continue in service, are constantly subject to review. There are no plans before my Department for a reduction of the age limit such as that suggested by the Deputy.
