Vol. 261 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Factory.

18.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the present position in regard to the proposed factory (details supplied) at Ovens, County Cork.

The company concerned and its associate company have not yet taken a decision in regard to the project in question. The Industrial Development Authority are keeping in close touch with the matter but they do not expect concrete results before the end of the year.

Could the Minister tell me whether this factory is for the purpose of producing votes for the coming by-election in mid Cork?

A horrible suggestion.

The negotiations for this factory have been going on quite a considerable time.
