Vol. 261 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Cable Car.

68.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange with Cork County Council (a) to maintain the pylons and cables for the cable car into Dursey Island; (b) to carry out painting works where necessary to preserve the system; and (c) to erect shelters on the island and the mainland.

These are matters wholly within the competence of Cork County Council. I understand that the council have arranged for all necessary maintenance including painting of the installation and have authorised the erection of shelters.
