(1) The figures in column 2 comprise local authority and other dwellings.
(2) The figures in column 3 correspond to the figures for capital formation in dwellings in the national income and expenditure accounts. They do not include expenditure on the acquisition of sites or on the purchase of second-hand houses.
(3) The figures in column 6 comprise capital expenditure by the State and local authorities on the building or substantial reconstruction of houses, the making of loans and grants and the acquisition of land for housing. They also include expenditure on housing by the National Building Agency and the Shannon Free Airport Development Company.
