Vol. 261 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballsbridge Post Office.

151.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if any decision has yet been taken on the provision of alternative accommodation for the staff at Ballsbridge post office, Dublin.

My Department have agreed to lease accommodation for a new sorting office in an office block which a private developer proposes to erect at Ballsbridge but the developer has yet to obtain detailed planning permission for the scheme.

This new post office accommodation in Ballsbridge is urgently needed, but I am interested in the fact that the accommodation is apparently being hired from a private office block developer in the area. Is the Minister aware of that?

I am sorry. I have not got that information in my brief.

Has the Minister any idea offhand when it might be ready?

The Deputy knows I am never offhand, but I have not got that information in my brief. I will inquire into it.

Question No. 152 postponed.
