asked the Minister for Lands the conditions precedent to obtaining a grant from the Land Commission for the erection or reconstruction of farm houses.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Farm House Building Grants.
39.
The Land Commission do not make grants towards the erection or reconstruction of dwellinghouses except to tenants participating in a scheme for rearrangement of intermixed holdings.
They do, however, operate a scheme whereby loans of up to £500 are made to occupiers of lands purchased under the Land Acts, irrespective of the valuation, to supplement grants from the Department of Local Government for the erection or reconstruction of dwellinghouses.
I shall arrange to have the Deputy supplied with a leaflet setting out details of the scheme.
