Vol. 261 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Swinford (Mayo) Housing.

106.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a number of new houses are urgently needed at Swinford, County Mayo; and when work will commence on building them.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his Question No. 72 of the 1st July, 1971. I understand that the position regarding the housing need in Swinford has not changed since then. The council did not succeed in acquiring any suitable existing houses and are now seeking a site on which to provide the small number of houses required in the town.
