Vol. 261 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Embassy Protection.

114.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for Justice whether any intensified protection will be afforded to foreign embassies in the Dublin area following the explosion in the German Embassy.

The extent of the protection to be provided for embassies is a matter for determination by the Commissioner, Garda Síochána, from time to time in the light of all the circumstances. Information about protection must, in the interests of security, be treated as confidential.
