asked the Minister for Justice the date on which the second phase of the 12th round pay increase became due in the case of the Garda Síochána.

The pay increase to which the Deputy refers became due, in respect of members of the Garda Síochána, on 1st January, 1971. It was paid on the first pay-day after that date.
