asked the Minister for Local Government what criteria will guide him in reaching a decision on house prices and in determining whether these prices are reasonable or otherwise.

I do not propose at this stage to indicate the criteria on which the price control will be operated.

Would that be because the Minister has no idea what he will do?

If I promise something I usually produce the goods. I always live up to my word.

If the Minister promises nothing it is easy to come up with the goods.
