Return to Writ: Mid-Cork. - Introduction of New Member.

The Clerk of the Dáil made the following announcement:
I gcomhlíonadh Bhuan-Ordú 138 de Bhuan-Orduithe Dháil Éireann i dtaobh Gnó Phoiblí, tá orm a chraoladh gur toghadh Eoghan Mac Gearailt don Dáil sa Chorrthoghchán a bhí ann an 2 Lúnasa, 1972, do Dháilcheantar Chorcaí Láir de chionn an Teachta Pádraig Mac Giollarnáth d'fháil bháis.
In compliance with Standing Order 138 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that Gene Fitzgerald has been elected to the Dáil at the By-Election held on 2nd August, 1972, for the Constituency of Mid-Cork consequent on the death of Deputy Paddy Forde.
Deputy Gene Fitzgerald, the new Member for the Constituency of Mid-Cork, was introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Andrews).
