Written Answers. - Bord na Móna Superannuation Scheme.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will furnish information in connection with the rate of contribution and pension payable under the Bord na Móna superannuation schemes for manual workers in respect of a person having 20 years pensionable service and in receipt of £20 per week basic time rate only (a) as under the scheme obtaining in July, 1972, (b) in September, 1972, on the assumption that the amending scheme is operative from 31st August, 1972, (c) in October, 1972, following adjustments in social welfare benefits; and (d) the reduction in board pension following the increase in social welfare benefits.

The following is the information requested in respect of a regular works employee with 20 years pensionable service in receipt of £20 per week basic time rate only:

The reduction in the Scheme's pension following increases in Social Welfare benefit as from 6th October, 1972 is £18.20 per annum.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state the text of any draft superannuation scheme received in his Department from Bord na Móna since 22nd June, 1972.

Bord na Móna, in accordance with the provisions of the Turf Development Act, 1953, submitted to me draft schemes to amend the Bord na Móna Regular Works Employees and General Employees Superannuation Schemes.

Following are the details of the draft amending superannuation schemes as submitted to me by Bord na Móna:—
