Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Estates.

48.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission intend to divide the Hehir estate, Ballinruane, Menlough, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Composite resale proposals have been formulated for the holding mentioned together with another holding in the adjoining townland of Ballynagrosheen. It is hoped that allocation of the lands will be effected next spring.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission intend to divide the James Donnellan estate, Ballintava, Dunmore, County Galway.

Possession of the holding referred to has passed to the Land Commission but as yet I am unable to indicate when allotment will take place.

Can the Minister say what is the size of this holding? I would be prepared to bet that it would not constitute one-tenth of the other holding of 299 acres.

By Deputy O'Donovan's standards it is enormous, as it comprises 34 acres.
