Vol. 263 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Markings.

160.

asked the Minister for Local Government if this country is party to a regional agreement on road markings for Europe in relation to the United Nations Vienna Convention of 1968; and if he will indicate the standard specifications for road markings incorporated in the draft European Regional Agreement on Road Markings and how they differ from those in this country.

The drafting of the proposed European agreement on road markings has not yet been finalised and accordingly its terms have not been approved by the promoting body —the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Standard specifications at international level do not therefore exist against which current Irish practice could be compared.
