asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of housing loans by the Land Commission in each of the past three years the number of advances in respect of (i) new houses and (ii) reconstruction; and the total amount of cash involved.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement as follows:

asked the Minister for Lands if it is his intention to improve and vary the design of houses and out-offices.

I shall be referring to this matter in the course of my opening statement on the Vote for my Department which will shortly come before the House.

In the circumstances perhaps the Deputy would await hearing what I have to say on the matter.
