asked the Minister for Local Government when he will sanction the contract documents for the 12 maisonettes at Portarlington, County Laois, in view of the urgent need for them.

I have sanctioned the acceptance of a tender for this scheme.

73.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will approve the plan submitted by Offaly County Council for private house development in Edenderry, County Offaly, in view of the acute planning position in the town.

I approved the revised layout plan for this scheme on the 4th October, 1972.

74.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will approve the Offaly County Council housing plan for (a) Edenderry and (b) Portarlington.

I approved plans for housing schemes at Edenderry on the 25th July, and for Portarlington on the 30th June, 1972.

75.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will approve the tenders submitted by Offaly County Council for housing schemes at (a) Rhode, (b) Geashill, (c) Crinkle and (d) Ballycumber.

Proposals for the acceptance of tenders for these schemes are under consideration in my Department. I will give my decision on those proposals as soon as possible.
