Vol. 264 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Off-Licensed Retailers.

64.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will comment on the statement by RGDATA in regard to the Government order concerning off-licensed retailers; if he has received representations from that body; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received representations from the Retail Grocers Association—RGDATA—in this matter. While the Retail Price (Beverages in Licensed Premises) Display Order, 1972, can entail the display of rather detailed notices by traders affected, I do not agree that the difficulties encountered by traders in complying with it are such as to warrant amendment of the order.
