Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Bill, 1973: First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend and extend the Broadcasting Authority Acts, 1960 to 1971.

As the Taoiseach is not familiar with the contents of this Bill, I would remind the House that its purpose is the authorisation of the payment to RTE of the licence fees collected on their behalf by the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs.
