The information is not available in my Department. Figures published by the Central Bank in its Quarterly Bulletin show that the aggregate value of shares and deposits with building societies at the end of 1972 amounted to £141 million, approximately. The corresponding figure for the 31st March, 1973, has not yet been published by the bank.
