asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether a firm (name supplied) which intends setting up in Ireland was closed down in its home country on the grounds of excess chemical pollution.

A subsidiary of the firm in question has been in production in Ireland since November, 1972. My information is that the parent firm is still in operation in its home country. though not on the original site.
