The position is that a revised preliminary report for this scheme was submitted to my Department on 16th May. It is being examined at the moment.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary give any indication as to when we might have this scheme advertised for tender?

I regret that it is not possible to say.

Does the Parliamentary Secretary realise that this scheme is No. 1 on the priority list for Mayo and in view of the area concerned. which is a developing area and a very important tourist area, will he ask the Minister to take all steps to ensure there is no delay in having the scheme implemented?

On 16th May, 1973, the local authority submitted details of amendments to preliminary proposals, together with a revised estimate of costs, which is £242,000. These are at present under technical examination.
