asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if Ireland will refuse to recognise the new regime in Greece unless it is seen to be fully democratic.

As we do not exchange diplomatic representation with Greece the question of granting or withholding recognition of the regime in that country does not arise at this stage. I may add that we would be most anxious to see an early restoration of fully democratic rule and standards in Greece.
