Vol. 267 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Polling Stations.

86.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will ensure that in all future elections the returning officers in County Kerry do not select polling stations that have not full lighting facilities, preferably electric light wherever possible.

The selection of the building to be used as a polling station is a matter for the returning officer for the constituency concerned. I have advised returning officers that the buildings selected should have adequate lighting arrangements.
