Vol. 267 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park Golf Course.

30.

(Dublin Central) asked the Minister for Finance when it may be expected that the golf course at the Phoenix Park extension, Dublin, will be in operation.

Mr. Kenny

The design of the layout of the golf course has now been decided on and I expect that construction work to that design will start very shortly. Some preliminary clearance work has already been done. At this stage, it is too early to say when the course will be in operation.

I understand the early part of the work will, in effect, be fencing in the area to be developed. In this connection would the Parliamentary Secretary consider giving priority to this screening-in process in the place known as the Ranch, Ballyfermot, where dumping takes place. The wall is knocked down and it is dangerous to childern.

Mr. Kenny

We will have that attended to.
