The directive on Average Precision Weights has already been implemented by the European Communities (Measuring Instruments) Regulations, 1973.
The other directives are in draft from and their provisions are still under discussion. When the provisions have been agreed, we will be under an obligation to allow the sale of goods which comply with the directives.
