Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - Kilkenny Vocational School Accommodation.

149.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the serious over-crowding and poor accommodation in Kilkenny Vocational School; the steps that are in train to correct this situation; and when students can expect to have proper facilities.

I received a deputation from the County Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee on this matter recently. It was agreed that revised proposals for additional accommodation and facilities for Kilkenny Vocational School would be submitted to my Department and I undertook to have the proposals examined and a decision arrived at without avoidable delay.

The proposals were received on 20th July and are now being examined.
