Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - Physiotherapy Treatment.

192.

asked the Minister for Health if he has any proposals to enable a patient in the middle income group to continue physiotherapy treatment free of charge on discharge from hospital.

Patients in the middle income group who require continuing physiotherapy treatment on discharge from hospital are entitled to such treatment free of charge if provided at or by persons attached to a hospital or home or similar premises, e.g. clinic, health centre, of the health board or of a voluntary institution with which the health board has made appropriate arrangements.

If the Deputy has any specific cases of difficulty in mind, I shall have them investigated if he supplies particulars.
