Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Wicklow Medical Card Applicant.

195.

asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in providing a medical card for a person (name supplied) in County Wicklow who made an application to the Eastern Health Board some time ago.

The granting or refusal of a medical card is a statutory function of the chief executive officer of a health board. I understand that there was no unreasonable delay in dealing with the case referred to by the Deputy.
