The Office of Public Works have been asked by my Department to furnish an engineering report and estimate of costs of providing a pier at Purteen, Bullsmouth, Achill, County Mayo. Until that report is received and examined I cannot say what the outcome may be.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when he proposes to build a pier at Frenchport, Belmullet, County Mayo.
If the Mayo County Council agree to provide an approach road to the site at Frenchport which is favoured by the local fishermen as a landing place, I will be prepared to seek approval for a grant towards the cost of providing suitable landing facilities there.
