Vol. 267 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers (Resumed). - Air Service to Strasbourg.

64.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if, in view of the Republic of Ireland's accession to the Common Market, he will use his good offices to prevail upon Aer Lingus to provide a direct flight to Strasbourg.

I am informed by Aer Lingus that the demand for travel to/from Strasbourg is very low and would not sustain regular scheduled services. The company see no prospect of operating such services to that destination in the foreseeable future.
