Customs arrangements in relation to cross-Border merchandise traffic are kept constantly under review. The Revenue Commissioners contemplate the early introduction of certain modifications in existing procedures which, given the co-operation of import/export interests, they would expect to improve the traffic flow significantly. They intend to discuss their proposals with those affected at a meeting arranged in collaboration with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce for 15th November.
I expect it will be all right to repeat the question in a month's time so as to ascertain the outcome of the discussions.
