(Dublin Central) asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the widespread suffering and starvation of the people of Ethiopia, he will make available a substantial sum of money towards relief of this distress.

As indicated in a Press release issued by the Government Information Service on Tuesday 6th November, £20,000 has been allocated for the victims of drought in Ethiopia. This sum will be made available to the League of Red Cross Societies through the Irish Red Cross Society.
