House purchase loans to the value of £2,600,425 were approved by Cork County Council in the period 1st April, 1973, to the 1st October, 1973, and loan payments amounting to £609,031 were made in the same period. In the corresponding periods last year loan approvals totalled £863,750, nearly £2 million less, and loan payments amounted to £556,260.
