Vol. 268 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport to Industrial Estates.

23.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will request the IDA to arrange transport to large industrial estates for people who live in outlying areas.

The Industrial Development Authority, through their regional offices on Galway and Waterford industrial estates, and the Shannon Free Airport Development Company through their headquarters at Shannon, maintain close contact with firms on the estates regarding the general range of services for industry. I understand from these agencies that existing arrangements for the transport of workers are considered satisfactory. If, however, the Deputy has a specific situation in mind, I will bring it to the attention of the appropriate agency.
