Vol. 269 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Electricity Supply.

49.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power when a supply of electricity will be made available to applicants in the Boardee, Shanagraigue and Carrigaline areas of County Cork.

I am informed by the ESB that the townlands of Boardee and Shanagraigue are in the board's Monkstown rural area which is due for development, under the final phase of the rural electrification programme, early in 1974. Supply will be extended to all those who have accepted the subsidised terms which were quoted to all applicants in the area.

Carrigaline itself is classified as an urban area and connections are normally available on application with the minimum of delay.
