Up to 20th November, 1973, a total of 676 prosecutions for contravention of the Retail Price (Food) Display Order, 1972, had come before the courts. Convictions were recorded in 625 cases. One hundred and forty-six prosecutions for contravention of the Retail Price (Beverages in Licensed Premises) Display Order, 1972, resulted in convictions in 116 cases.
