asked the Minister for Defence why a person (name supplied) in County Limerick, who is in receipt of an old age pension, has been refused a special allowance.

The person named was not refused a special allowance. A form on which to apply for a special allowance was sent to him on 6th November. When he completes the form and returns it to my Department the matter will be dealt with speedily.
