Vol. 269 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Co-operative Society.

27.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if any grants have been paid or are due for payment by his Department to a co-operative society (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and, if so, when applications for the grants were made, when they were paid and when the outstanding grants will be paid.

No grants have been paid, nor are any grants due for payment, by my Department to this co-operative society. If the Deputy has Industrial Development Authority grants in mind, the position is that the following IDA grants have been paid in full to the society:—

1961

New Industry grant

£8,000

1962

Re-equipment grant

£2,990

1967

New Industry grant

£15,000

No other grant payments are due to the society at present.

Have any further grants been applied for?

I understand that the society is in consultation with the IDA at the moment.
