Vol. 269 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee Hospital.

1.

asked the Minister for Health if all the plans and documents for the new county hospital in Tralee, County Kerry, have been prepared; and, if so, when the project will proceed to tender stage.

I have received a revised statement of operational policies and an outline schedule of accommodation for the new hospital which have been under consideration. I hope to communicate with the health board in the very near future regarding these matters. Following this it will be necessary to prepare a detailed schedule of accommodation and, subsequently, sketch plans, working drawings and bills of quantities and also details of mechanical and electrical proposals before it will be possible to invite tenders. I am not in a position to say exactly at this stage when it will be possible to invite tenders for the project.
