Vol. 269 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Underground Water Resources.

21.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he considers that, at this stage of Irish development, two geologists are sufficient to map the underground water resources of Ireland in view of the increasing demand for information on this subject.

I consider that two geologists are not enough. The strengthening of ground water personnel is being considered in conjunction with a phased reorganisation of the Geological Survey which is being carried out.
