asked the Taoiseach when it is intended to appoint the proposed Director of Public Prosecutions, as recently announced; from where the appointee will be selected; the qualifications necessary for the position; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The necessary Bill is being drafted. I have placed a copy of the Government's recent statement on this matter in the Library for the convenience of Deputies.

Is it true that another relative of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, Deputy Dr. Conor Cruise-O'Brien, is getting a job?
