Vol. 270 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dental Brace Applicant.

469.

asked the Minister for Health why a person in County Cork (details supplied) has not been supplied by the Southern Health Board with a dental brace, sanction for which was given some months ago.

The provision of this service is a matter for the Southern Health Board. However, I understand, on enquiry from the board, that their chief dental surgeon wrote to the mother of the child concerned, in September last, suggesting an appointment for the child at Mallow, Mill-street or Charleville and asking that he be notified which centre would suit. He has not since received a reply but is prepared to arrange an appointment immediately he is advised by the parent which centre would be convenient. I suggest that the child's parent get in touch with the chief dental surgeon, Child Health Clinic, City Hall, Cork, about this.

The Dáil adjourned at 5.15 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 19th February, 1974.
